Is There Life After Graduation?
You've heard it repeatedly by now. "Graduation isn't just an ending-it's a beginning." But a beginning of what?! So many unknowns:
"Will I ever get a job?" "What do I need to foster my professional development?" "What is it like to be a social worker in the 21st
Century-in this age of managed care and so little funding of public programs?" "How am I going to cope with all of this?"
Why Not Join the Clinical Social Work Society's New
Professionals Program!
Experienced clinicians agree to provide friendly, free guidance to recently graduated social workers or soon to be graduated second
year students. Senior clinicians have an opportunity to pass on practice wisdom and in return learn from new professionals in the field about the current ideas in Clinical Social Work education. The
New Professionals Program is NOT a substitute for supervision or individual therapy. It IS a way to get connected to your new profession and network with those social workers already in
practice. Everyone stands to gain from the experience. Mentors will be matched by area of clinical interest and expertise. Call or E-mail the Chair of the New Professionals Program for more information.
